It’s How We React to News.. Our Reality May Be Fine
I have a sign on my door that says: “Barbo Furniture has decided to no longer participate in the recession.” Okay. I know that times are hard but let’s turn the news on it’s head. Unemployment is about 10%. That means that 90% are employed! Teenagers are back buying at the malls. Real estate is beginning to move again and congress is being pressured to look into reforms and spending. That all looks like good news to me. So I’m not being flippant about my sign!
One of the things I’ve noticed is that people are feeling the strain of ‘Frugal Fatigue’. Things need to get done and they have been putting them off. I have also. I’m not saying that we should go on a spending spree like there is no tomorrow. That would be reckless. No, but each of us needs to start moving forward. Our outlook about the future can shift a bit closer to the cup being half full. Half empty causes inertia and depression. Frankly I’m tired of it.
That is why we decided that now was the time to open our Envision Studio! (Now of all times! Holly are you crazy?) There will be less flipping of homes and more of making the nest that we have better. People want quality for a fair price. Well, folks, we are all of that. We have designed ENVISION to be a one stop source for much of your home. Come in and see what we have to offer!
So I ask you to join us in the movement! Tweak your outlook and viewpoint and decide to stop participating in the recession! RAH!
